The one-time South Australian high school dropout, whose World Safari films rocketed him to nationwide prominence, talks about his childhood, sudden fame, equally as sudden fall from grace and, of course, the girls.

Not many would go up and do that. Born in Holland, Mangels moved to Murray Bridge in South Australia with his family in the mids but left high school when his mother became ill. After she died, the teenager was kicked out of home by his stepfather - something he believes laid the platform for his eventual success.
