From Maldon, the aggregates are dispatched by road using truck-and-dog or tipper combinations to customers across Sydney, including Boral's own concrete and asphalt plants. Today the site supports eight employees based at the Terminal, and the seven Boral Logistics drivers attached to the facility.

The local brigade, along with the residents of Buxton , wanted the playground to reflect their eternal gratitude to Mr O'Dwyer and Keaton for their sacrifice. Further, they also wanted it to be a place of reflection and remembrance for the volunteers' respective partners, children and families.

With Council agreeing to support the project, the Buxton RFS then began enlisting local businesses and Council's contractors to contribute to this true community initiative.

In agreeing to participate, Boral confirmed the supply of all 30 tonnes roadbase products to underly the playground area, footpaths and surrounds. Further, Boral agreed to supply all of the concrete needed to complete the project. Boral's contributions were delivered during September and October. The playground and memorial will be officially opened at a ceremony on 5 December with Boral representatives among the many dignataries, guests and locals in attendance.

The operations are able to prepare for high wind situations with wetting of materials and the shutting down of particular activities as required.
